December
Meeting Recap
The
joint meeting with IMPI for December was a huge success
with over 200+ in attendance. Guests entered the new
Deer-Zink
Pavilion and were greeting with warm tones of soft pink
linens and fabulous holiday centerpieces designed by
Detail+Design.
The featured speaker was Ted Allen from “Queer Eye
for the Straight Guy”. During the delicious meal,
served by Wolfgang Puck Catering, Ted discussed food and
wine pairings. He gave tips as to good wines to pair with
meals at events as well as trends he is seeing in the food
and wine industry. He also discussed his role on the show
and how he helps his clients to learn more about how wine
and food work together. There was a book signing with Ted
before and after the event. It was a great event –
thank you to all who attended.
A
huge thanks to our sponsors

Board Update
At
the December meeting the board discussed the success
of the Education

by all board members and will be going out to the membership.
ISES Indiana chapter was due for re-chartering and Leslie
reported that, after much hard work, it was completed and
submitted. Last, ISES Indiana directories are being revised
and sent out to all members in the coming weeks – be

Jason
Felders
Vice
President of Communications Originally
from St. Louis, Mo. Jason moved to Indianapolis to attend
Butler University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts,
Music (Voice Concentration) degree. Soon after graduation
he decided that singing opera was not for him and began
working in the box office at Beef and Boards Dinner Theater.
One year later he was hired part-time at the Indiana
Historical Society as the Special Events assistant. In
his 5th year with the IHS he is now the special events
manager.
With the new ISES International logo roll out, Jason
and his committee has been busy with the redesign of
the website
and newsletter. “This has been a great opportunity
for us. I feel like this new logo has given ISES Indiana
a new breath of life and really depicts who we are as an
industry.”
In his spare time, Jason is a photographer. He
is currently in the process of redesigning his website. “This
is another creative outlet for me. Photography is something
that I can do to escape reality. I have found that digital
art gives you so many ways to manipulate a photograph it
makes the escape even easier.”
